K. Kavitha, leader of Telangana Jagruti and a Member of the Legislative Council, will hold a 72-hour fast on August 4-6. This protest seeks to emphasize the urgent need for the Backward Classes (BC) Bill. At a press conference in Hyderabad’s Somajiguda Press Club, she stated her aim to push both central and state governments to act on this important legislation.

Kavitha called on the Congress Party to prove its dedication to the BC Bill. She suggested they organize an all-party meeting and take the issue to Delhi immediately. She criticized the Congress-led protests in Delhi, saying they are focused on the Bihar elections rather than addressing urgent issues.

She also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing its leaders of avoiding their duties instead of supporting Backward Classes. Her fast intends to spotlight the necessity of the BC Bill, hoping to rally both political and public backing for the cause.
