Srisailam Reservoir is handling heavy water inflows from upstream areas. To manage this, officials have opened six gates by 10 feet to release water towards Nagarjuna Sagar. The reservoir receives 229,743 cusecs from Jurala and Sunkesula projects, while it releases 248,900 cusecs.

Out of this, 162,942 cusecs flow through the spillway gates. Other releases include 20,000 cusecs via the Pothireddypadu head regulator, 35,315 cusecs from the left bank power station, and 30,643 cusecs from the right bank power station.

The water level in Srisailam is at 883 feet, just below its full capacity of 885 feet. The reservoir can hold up to 215.80 TMC, but it currently stores 204.78 TMC. Ongoing management is crucial as flood conditions continue. Officials are keeping a close watch to maintain safe water levels and prevent any overflow.
