Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is gearing up for the upcoming urban local body elections in the state. Party leader K Chandrashekhar Rao recently met at his farmhouse with key members, including KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, to outline a plan to challenge the ruling Congress party.
To strengthen their campaign, the BRS has assigned special coordinators to each municipality and municipal corporation. These coordinators will ensure daily updates on election trends and ground reports are sent to Telangana Bhavan and to KT Rama Rao.
A senior leader will oversee elections in each municipality. Their tasks include uniting local party members and crafting strategies suited to local needs. They will stay in their assigned areas from start to finish and play a vital role in choosing candidates. By consulting local leaders, they will identify strong candidates and regularly update the party leadership. Additionally, they will manage campaign activities and work closely with booth-level agents.
KT Rama Rao has announced the full list of these coordinators. He urged party members to aim for BRS victory with public support. Discussions also covered state political issues, such as the SIT investigation into a phone-tapping case involving KTR and Harish Rao. They also updated the party leader on the Singareni tenders issue and the government’s role in it.
