Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry and first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi inspired women with her positive approach towards life at an event in Hyderabad. She emphasized that an empowered woman is self-reliant and serves others. Bedi also highlighted the importance of overcoming opposition to achieve success.
During her keynote address at the T-Hub, as part of the three-day conclave organized by Global Woman Foundation, TS Police Academy, Young Indians, and The Hans India, Bedi shared her experiences as an IPS officer. She explained how she faced opposition from various sources but remained determined and focused.
Bedi, who is now involved with NGOs India Vision Foundation and Navjyoti India Foundation, discussed her fearlessness and willingness to face any challenge. She acknowledged the support of her mother in taking care of her ailing child while she pursued her career.
Aruna Bahuguna, the first lady IPS officer of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, also spoke at the event and described Bedi as a role model and inspiration for women. She shared her own experience of choosing IPS as a career path after seeing Bedi’s achievements.
The conclave aims to bring together women achievers from different fields and build the next generation of women leaders. Organized by the Global Woman Foundation, the program is designed by professors from top business schools and industry experts to foster collaboration among outstanding women from diverse backgrounds.
Overall, the event provided a platform for women to gain confidence, learn from successful role models, and network with other accomplished individuals.
