Union Minister of Mines G Kishan Reddy shared that his ministry is conducting service programs in 645 districts of 23 States across India through the District Mineral Fund (DMF). These programs are part of Corporate Social Responsibility activities of coal and mineral mines and aim to benefit people from all sections as directed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the inauguration of a DMF stall in the national capital, Kishan Reddy highlighted the focus on providing education, healthcare, employment opportunities, skills training, and support to self-help groups in mining areas. The DMF has over Rs 92,000 crore in funds nationwide, with Rs 50,900 crore spent on 3,29,945 projects, out of which 1,88,642 projects have been completed.
