Text Size: 100%

Former MLC N Ramachander Rao is demanding that Rahul Gandhi apologize to Hindus for his recent remarks in Parliament. He believes that the Leader of the Opposition should be more responsible with their words, as it is a Constitutional role.

Rao expressed his disappointment with Gandhi’s comments, stating that they were hurtful and insulting to Hindus. He cited examples of past injustices towards Hindus, such as temple demolitions in Kashmir and denial of reservation for Hindu Dalits.

In his view, the LoP should provide constructive criticism and stick to facts when addressing the public. He believes that Gandhi’s speech did not meet these standards and instead fueled division among the people.

Rao emphasized the need for political leaders to be mindful of their language and its impact on different communities. He called for Gandhi to issue an unconditional apology to Hindus for his statements, which he deemed as disparaging.
