Union Minister and Telangana State BJP chief G Kishan Reddy criticized the BRS government for not fulfilling its promises and meeting the expectations of the people. He made these remarks while admitting Palakurthi ZPTC member Kandula Sandhya Rani and others into the party. Reddy accused the BRS leaders of relying on money to win elections instead of focusing on development in the state. He highlighted that the BRS government has failed to deliver on promises such as providing double bedroom houses to the poor, loan waivers to farmers, and various welfare schemes for marginalized communities.
Reddy also criticized Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for mishandling recruitment exams, which led to suicides among unemployed individuals. He questioned how AICC leader Rahul Gandhi can seek votes from the people of Telangana, blaming the Congress for injustices in water distribution, funds allocation, and job opportunities. Reddy accused the Congress of causing delays in the formation of Telangana and labeled them as a corrupt party.
Referring to both the Congress and BRS as family-centric parties, Reddy alleged that corruption has risen under Chief Minister KCR’s leadership. He also criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for failing to fulfill their pre-election guarantees and accused them of funding Telangana elections through imposing heavy taxes on the people. Reddy emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to providing a corruption-free government and vowed to bring “SakalaJanula Telangana” (Prosperous Telangana) to the state.
Vivek Venkataswamy, a national committee member, expressed his belief that Sandhya Rani’s joining would strengthen the party. Sandhya Rani, who had actively participated in the separate Telangana agitation, stated that there is a silent wave in the state, and the people have decided to bring the BJP to power.
