Hyderabad: G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister and Telangana BJP State President, announced the release of the notification for the BJP state president election on Sunday. Nominations will be accepted on Monday.
After attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” in Moti Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Reddy shared that the announcement for the new BJP state president is scheduled for July 1. The election is expected to be unanimous, with nominations starting on Monday. Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender and former MLC N Ramachander Rao are the main contenders. Other names being discussed include current BJP MPs Dr Laxman and Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Reddy confirmed the election process would be smooth. The BJP high command has decided to send state in-charge Sunil Bansal and national general secretary Shobha to manage the nominations on Monday. Reddy also criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, stating that the National Turmeric Board’s inauguration is due to the Center’s efforts. He declared, “We will work only for the people of Telangana and not for Revanth Reddy or the Congress party.”
Additionally, the State BJP mentioned that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Metro project was submitted to the Center last week and is currently being reviewed for feasibility.
