In Hyderabad, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, has urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to focus more on allocating funds for the development of all areas in the city. He emphasized this during a media briefing after inaugurating a community hall funded by MPLADS in Gudimalkapur Division, part of the Nampally Assembly segment.
Kishan Reddy highlighted that Hyderabad is one of the most important and fastest-growing cities in India. He stated that everyone should collaborate to enhance the city’s infrastructure. Despite contributing significantly to the state’s revenue, Hyderabad is not receiving adequate funds for its development.
He pointed out that the HI-TEC city area receives more attention compared to the Old City. Both current and previous governments have overlooked the development needs of the Old City. Reddy stressed the importance of a comprehensive master plan to develop all city areas. This would require the Chief Minister to take special action and increase funds for Hyderabad’s development. Essential improvements like roads, parks, clean drinking water, and modern drainage systems are needed, especially in the slum areas.
Later, the Union Minister inaugurated a Tiranga Rally at Ramnagar Square. He mentioned that for the past three years, Independence Day has been celebrated as a grand festival by the central government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has encouraged citizens to display the national flag as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha is organizing Tiranga Rallies and Yatras across the country. During the 75th Independence Day celebration, 23 crore people participated by hoisting the national flag. Kishan Reddy urged the Telugu community to join the national independence festival and display the flag at their homes.
Additionally, Dr. Shilpa Reddy, BJP State Mahila Morcha’s president, announced that the Morcha would organize a Scooty Rally on August 12 in every district headquarters across the state. This is in response to the Prime Minister’s call for the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative. She encouraged women to participate in large numbers to ensure the event’s success.
