Telangana State Haj Committee announced that the Haj Committee of India is working to improve services for Haj pilgrims in 2024. They have changed the selection ratio for Khadimul Hujjaj (Haj volunteers) from 1:300 to 1:200. This change aims to better care for pilgrims during their time in Saudi Arabia.
Shaik Liyakhat Hussain, the executive officer, stated that the Telangana State Haj Committee is preparing for the selection of Khadimul-Hujjaj for Haj-2024 based on this new ratio. A total of eight volunteers will be chosen through a draw of lots on Wednesday in the presence of Tafseer Iqbal, IPS, Special Secretary to Government, Minorities Welfare Department.
These changes are part of an effort to enhance services for Haj pilgrims. The draw for volunteers will take place at the Telangana State Haj Committee office and will involve eligible candidates, media, and applicants.
