Mahabubnagar is experiencing high temperatures around 39-40 degrees Celsius since the beginning of April. The district administration has issued instructions to the health and education departments, urging the public to avoid going out during the day, especially farmers.

Schools in the district have changed their timings due to the heat. All schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya, will now operate from 7 am to 1.30 pm. The meteorological department predicts that temperatures may rise even further as summer peaks from mid-April to June.

To protect people from the heat wave, the district administration has asked various departments to be on alert. Collector Ravi Nayak instructed the health department to raise awareness in villages, especially for children and the elderly. Precautions such as keeping ORS packets available in hospitals and ensuring everyone has access to them are being taken.
