Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP-led central government for its policies that have caused violence in Manipur. He called for an all-party delegation to stop the bloodshed and bring peace to the state. Priyanka Gandhi also expressed concern over the situation in Manipur and criticized the government for not taking immediate action to ensure the safety of its people.

Manipur has been facing violence since May 3, which has resulted in over 100 fatalities and the displacement of thousands of people. The Congress leaders made their remarks after reports of new violence in the state. Over 349 relief camps have been established to help those affected.

On Wednesday, attackers set fire to the official apartment of Nemcha Kipgen, the state’s only female minister, in Imphal West district. Fortunately, she was not home at the time. The previous night, suspected militants attacked Khamelock village in Imphal East district, resulting in 11 deaths and 23 injuries. Authorities fear that more casualties may follow as some of the injured are in critical condition.
