Khammam – Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao stressed the need for high-quality infrastructure that stands the test of time.
On Wednesday, he laid the foundation stone for new concrete (CC) roads and drainage systems in Chintagurthi village, located in Raghunathapalem mandal. These works are being funded under CRR (SCP), with a total budget of ₹40 lakh.
During the event, the Minister said that development projects in the mandal are progressing in a planned and organized manner. He urged officials to finish the road and drainage construction before the monsoon season begins. He emphasized the importance of using strong materials and proper techniques so the infrastructure lasts for at least ten years.
The Minister also spoke to local farmers, encouraging them to adopt crop rotation and consider growing oil palm, which can be more profitable.
Several key figures attended the event, including Rayala Nageswara Rao, Chairman of the State Warehouses Corporation, and Erragarla Hanumantha Rao, Chairman of the Agricultural Market Committee (AMC), along with local leaders and government officials.
