Gadwal – Kuruva Pallayya, a key leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV), has voiced strong concerns over how Indiramma houses are being distributed in the Aiza Mandal region. He filed a complaint with the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO), asking for a full vigilance investigation into what he calls a corrupt and unfair selection process.
According to Pallayya, serious irregularities have taken place across 28 Gram Panchayats and the Aiza Municipality. He claims that the housing scheme, intended to help the poor and homeless, is being misused for political gain.
He alleges that people who already own pucca (permanent) homes, especially those linked to the ruling Congress party, are being granted new houses. Pallayya says these individuals are using bribes and political influence to secure homes meant for the needy.
Meanwhile, he says, truly homeless and poor families are being ignored. He believes that recommendation letters from Congress leaders are being used to control the distribution process, turning a public welfare initiative into a tool for political favoritism.
Pallayya stressed the need for transparency and fairness. He called for Gram Sabha meetings in each village to openly discuss and decide who truly needs housing. He insisted that only deserving, homeless individuals should benefit from the scheme — without corruption or bias.
He urged officials to take immediate action to restore public trust and ensure the Indiramma housing scheme reaches the people it was created to help.
