A public awareness seminar about the new Bhoobharati Act 2025 was held today at the Tahsildar’s office in Dharur Mandal, Jogulamba Gadwal district. Telangana State Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, attended as the chief guest. He explained how the new act is aimed at giving land security to farmers across the state.

Before the seminar began, there was a tense moment as an argument broke out between supporters of Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and Congress leader Saritha. The situation quickly escalated but was brought under control by the police, allowing the event to continue without further issues.

Minister Ponguleti spoke about the problems farmers faced with the earlier Dharani land system and said the Bhoobharati Act 2025 was introduced to fix those issues. He said the law was created by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with help from ministers and MLAs to give every farmer peace of mind about their land.

He mentioned that pilot projects are already running in four areas to solve land disputes. Common problems like wrong names, survey numbers, and land size details will now be fixed more easily. Farmers no longer have to visit offices multiple times or pay bribes; they can directly approach the Tahsildar, RDO, or District Collector.

Starting from May 1, officials will visit every revenue village to collect applications and offer on-the-spot help. Minister Ponguleti also said each land parcel will get a “Bhoodhaar” card, similar to an Aadhaar card. He promised that 26,000 pending land ownership cases (known as ‘Saada Bainama’) will be resolved. Clear boundaries will also be set for public, forest, and private lands.

He asked officials to take this program seriously and not treat it as just a formality. He also mentioned other welfare programs of the Revanth Reddy government, such as distribution of fine rice, 200 units of free electricity, a ₹500 LPG subsidy, and a ₹500 bonus for fine grain. The government will also set up Integrated Schools in each constituency and launch a program to make one crore women financially strong.

Member of Parliament Dr. Mallu Ravi also praised the Bhoobharati Act and asked farmers in the district to make full use of it to secure their land. He announced housing support through the Jurala Project and said that 3,500 Indiramma houses were approved for the area.

MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy called for unity among political leaders and officials to help develop the constituency. He confirmed the 3,500 houses and requested 1,000 more. He reminded everyone that while political terms may end, development should last.

District Collector B.M. Santhosh said the Bhoobharati Act would help farmers solve land problems directly through revenue officers, instead of going to court. He assured that every acre will get a Bhoodhaar card and issues like inheritance or land transfer will be handled under the new law. Officials will visit each village to help farmers resolve their issues.

The event was also attended by several other leaders and officials, including TSCBC Chairman Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Library Chairman Neeli Srinivasulu, Market Committee Chairman Nalla Hanmanthu, District SP Srinivasa Rao, Additional Collector Lakshminarayana, RDO Srinivasa Rao, Tahsildar Bhupal Reddy, and other local representatives.
