    Minister Srinivas Yadav identified the situation where there are no proper facilities or connections in Ummadi palanalu (maternity care) and stated that he runs a government pharmacy. Today, the Telangana government, under CM KCR, has provided medical kits to hospitals. With various tests and operations being conducted, the people are demanding “I am going to the government pharmacy” as a solution. They mentioned that the Telangana government has improved the field of medicine. The Telangana government conducted the Vaidya Dinotsavam (Doctors’ Day) as a part of the decadal celebrations at the Haritha Kalabhavan in Sikindrabhad.

    In this context, Minister KCR sent nutrition kits to pregnant women. Afterwards, he praised the doctors, ASHA workers, nurses, and ANMs for providing invaluable services in the health department. It was revealed that after the establishment of Telangana, salaries were given to doctors that were previously not available anywhere in the country. It is mentioned that before the state formation, there were four medical colleges in the district. Today, a medical college has been set up in Jilla Ko Medical College. They also mentioned that if MBBS PG is to be done by MBBBS PG, it will be in an advantageous position compared to other states.

    The 850 MBBS seats available in the past are now increased to 2815. The number of PG seats has increased to 1216. Telangana holds a prestigious position in MBBS seats in the state. They explained that with many initiatives taken by the government, the number of patients visiting hospitals is increasing. They explained that by keeping the health of mothers and babies in mind, they are providing nutrition kits and implementing modern tests such as C-Scan, MRI Scan, CAT Lab, and others free of cost.

    They mentioned that new hospitals have been constructed in Alwal, Erragadda, and Kottapet regions. They emphasized the importance of NIMS. They mentioned that considering the idea of providing medical services to rural areas, they have set up Basti pharmacies in the colonies where more people reside. The program was attended by District Medical Officer Venkata, Gandhi Hospital RMO Jayakrishna, SPHOs Rajashree, Anuradha, Sunanda, Corporate Maheshwari, Hemalatha, and others.
