Hyderabad: The Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy rainfall this year. In response, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has urged officials to prepare for possible floods. He emphasized staying alert to prevent loss of life and property.

Minister Reddy held a meeting with collectors at the Secretariat to discuss flood management in the Godavari and Krishna river areas. He advised taking preventive measures instead of reacting after disasters. A high-level standing committee has been established to oversee necessary actions. This includes the HYDRAA Commissioner, Fire DG, Disaster Management Commissioner, and other key department heads.
