Khanapur/Hyderabad – Development projects in the Adilabad and Warangal regions are facing delays because the Forest Department hasn’t given timely clearances. These delays have affected major infrastructure work planned by the Panchayati Raj and Roads & Buildings (R&B) departments.
To tackle this ongoing issue, a high-level meeting took place on Saturday at the Secretariat. The meeting was led by Forest Minister Konda Surekha and Panchayati Raj Minister Seethakka. Top officials attended, including Forest Department Principal Secretary Ahmed Nadeem, PCCF Dr. Suvarna, and Nirmal District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav. Senior officers like Collectors, Chief Conservators of Forests (CCFs), Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs), and ITDA officials from the affected districts also joined the discussion.
During the meeting, local leaders raised their concerns. MLAs Vedma Bojju Patel, Kova Lakshmi, Palvai Harish, Anil Jadhav, and MLC Dande Vitthal all voiced frustration. They said that important development work is stuck because of the slow approval process from forest authorities.
In response, both ministers assured quick action. They promised to resolve the issue soon so that stalled projects can begin. The ministers emphasized the need for better cooperation between departments to avoid further delays.
The government now plans to speed up the clearance process and improve inter-departmental coordination. This move aims to get infrastructure work back on track and boost development in the joint districts of Adilabad and Warangal.
