The Miss World Festival recently held its 72nd Beauty With a Purpose Gala Dinner in Hyderabad, highlighting compassion and change. Philanthropist Sudha Reddy hosted this event, gathering 108 contestants to present transformative projects from around the world.
The event announced the top two projects from each continent, culminating in four winners who will move directly to the Miss World 2025 quarterfinals.
Americas & Caribbean:
Valeria Pérez from Puerto Rico introduced “Communicating Without Limits.” Her project supports inclusive communication for marginalized groups like people with Down syndrome, the deaf, and families affected by cancer, inspired by her personal experiences. Yanina Gómez from Paraguay was the runner-up.
Africa:
Natasha Nyonyozi from Uganda created the “Nyonyozi Initiative,” driven by her brother’s autism. She works to support neurodivergent children and promote social inclusion across Uganda. Lachaeveh Alberta Caizarine Davies from Sierra Leone was the runner-up.
Europe:
Millie-Mae Adams from Wales launched “First Aid Against Knife Crime.” She uses her medical skills to teach young people emergency first aid, addressing the increasing youth knife violence. Corina Mrazek from Spain was the runner-up.
Asia & Oceania:
Monica Kezia Sembiring from Indonesia presented “Pipeline for Lifeline,” which provides clean water and sanitation to remote Indonesian villages, enhancing health and dignity. Huỳnh Trần Ý Nhi from Vietnam was the runner-up.
Ms. Julia Morley CBE, Chair of the Miss World Organization, praised the contestants, stating her pride in their achievements and positive impact on the world.
The gala was more than awards; it celebrated service, empathy, and leadership. Sudha Reddy hosted a night filled with inspiration and unity. As the Grand Finale on May 31 approaches, the four winners are now closer to the Miss World crown, advancing to the quarterfinals.
