During the event, the MLA shared that the scheme follows the promises made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during the elections. One of these promises was to offer free bus services for women, which was implemented within 48 hours of the government taking power. Now, under the Mahalakshmi scheme, the government is providing gas cylinders at a subsidized price of ₹500 across the state.

In addition to this, the state government has also implemented other important schemes. These include providing 200 units of free electricity through the Gruha Jyothi scheme and waiving ₹2 lakh loans for farmers. The Mahalakshmi scheme is especially helpful for rural women who often suffer from health issues due to cooking with firewood.

    Subsidy and Beneficiary Support

While the central government charges ₹1,100 for a gas cylinder, the Telangana state government is offering it for ₹500. The subsidy will be credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts within 48 hours of receiving the cylinder.

    Encouragement for Women

Women who have not yet received their Mahalakshmi Gas Cylinder letters were encouraged not to worry, as the government is working to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries will receive them soon. The MLA emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the lives of all citizens and encouraged people to take advantage of the available schemes.

    Event Attendees

Several notable individuals attended the event, including former ZP Chairman Bandari Bhaskar, former District Library Chairman Jambu Raman Goud, and senior Congress leaders Gaddam Krishna Reddy and Patel Prabhakar Reddy. Other participants included Agricultural Market Committee Chairman Kuruva Hanumanthu, PACS Chairmen Timmareddy and Venkatesh, and other local leaders and youth members.

The event saw a large turnout of officials, including ZDPCO, MRO, and other local leaders.
