Gadwal: MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy joined a rally in Gadwal district headquarters, showing support for the minority community. The rally was held to protest against a new law introduced by the central government regarding the Waqf Board. Many in the community believe this law is unfair and discriminates against Muslims and the Waqf institution.
During the event, the MLA criticized the central government, saying their policies are dividing religious groups. He argued that the new Waqf Board law harms the rights of Muslim citizens and could damage the country’s secular values.
He also mentioned that the Supreme Court has raised concerns about the law and suggested changes. He urged the government to rethink the law and create policies that are fair and respectful to all communities.
“India is a country where Hindus and Muslims have lived together peacefully for generations. The government should not create laws that target Muslims unfairly. All issues related to the Waqf Board should be handled legally and justly,” the MLA stated.
He also spoke about former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, saying that if the country continues to divide its people, it may lose more great leaders like him. He promised to support the minority community and stand with them no matter what.
The rally was attended by several local leaders, including former Municipal Vice Chairman Babar, former Sarpanch Majeed, and community members Shukur, Govindu, Sudarshan, Rizwan, Kurumannna, Dharma Naidu, Sisaal Shasha, Mobin, Anwar, Guvvala Gopal, Raju, Moinuddin Shasha, and many others.
