The CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana welcomed the first meeting of the CMs of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He emphasized the need for the two CMs to work towards the welfare of Telugu people and avoid conflicts between the two states.

Narayana praised the intention of the CMs to discuss and resolve pending issues between the states. He highlighted that the division of Telugu-speaking people into separate states should not lead to disputes among them.

The CPI leader mentioned that political sentiments, such as anti-Andhra feelings, were utilized during the separation of the states, but emphasized that these sentiments do not need to last forever. He urged the CMs to focus on addressing the fair demands of each state and implementing guarantees outlined in the AP Re-organisation Act.
