A team of doctors from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, United States, is visiting Osmania General Hospital (OGH) in Hyderabad. They are conducting training for the hospital doctors and caregivers on Point Of Care Ultrasound (POCUS). This visit is part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Hospital for Special Surgery New York and Osmania General Hospital/Osmania Medical College.

The training in POCUS is specifically for doctors, especially Anesthesiologists working in operation theatres, emergency rooms, and ICUs. The goal is to show how ultrasound can be used in settings with limited resources to identify lung, heart, and abdominal organ pathologies, as well as trauma cases. This information will help them take immediate action and create effective treatment plans for patients in such settings.
