Hyderabad: On Monday, there was tension near the BRS party office at Telangana Bhavan. The police set up restrictions because the State cabinet meeting was planned at the nearby Integrated Command Control Center (ICCC).
Many BRS workers gathered at Telangana Bhavan as KT Rama Rao, the party’s Working President, was expected to visit before heading to an ACB inquiry. With the cabinet meeting scheduled for later, the area saw a heavy police presence.
Police dispersed the crowd and locked the gates of Telangana Bhavan. They also asked nearby shops to close. Several BRS activists were taken into custody. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other ministers were set to attend the meeting at the command center in the afternoon. After protests by BRS leaders, police reopened the main gate of Telangana Bhavan.
