Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has invited Indians living in Japan to invest in Telangana. He said their support could help the state grow its industries and create more jobs. He also encouraged the Telugu community in Japan to take part in the state’s development by sharing their ideas with the government.
While speaking to the Telugu diaspora in Japan, Reddy shared his plans for Telangana’s future. He mentioned major projects like cleaning up the Musi River, expanding the Metro Rail, building the Regional Ring Road, and adding new radial roads in Hyderabad. He claimed that some political groups in the state were trying to block these important projects for their own gain.
Reddy also talked about Telangana being a landlocked state. To overcome this, the government plans to set up a ‘Dry Port’ that will be connected by road and rail to the Machilipatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh. He said Telangana must compete with the world to achieve real progress.
During his visit to Japan, Reddy visited the Sumida Riverfront in Tokyo. He was impressed by the modern infrastructure, including a long flyover and elevated corridors that have changed the city’s look and boosted tourism.
He also pointed to the air pollution problems in Delhi, where schools have had to close at times. Reddy said Telangana should learn from such examples and take steps to protect its environment.
