    South Central Railway (SCR) recently held a review meeting to discuss the safety of train operations and the improvement of the working system. The general manager, Arun Kumar Jain, emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of train operations and instructed officials and staff to be more vigilant while on duty.

    One of the key points discussed in the meeting was the need to increase Railway Protection Force (RPF) patrolling to prevent the transportation of inflammable materials and to keep an eye on passengers smoking inside the trains. They also reviewed the availability of fire safety equipment and decided to launch drives to control rat infestations in trains and yards.

    The meeting also touched upon plans to improve the average speed of long haul trains and urged for an improvement in the speed of goods trains. They discussed a detailed plan on crew working hours and emphasized the importance of providing proper rest to the crew members at the right time. Additionally, they reviewed the facilities available at running rooms across the zone.

    Overall, the meeting focused on enhancing safety measures and improving the efficiency of train operations within the South Central Railway zone.
