Schools in Telangana set to reopen on June 12

The Telangana School Education department has released a calendar for the 2024-25 academic year, with schools reopening on June 12 after the summer vacation. The academic year will last for a total of 229 days, with the last working day on April 24, 2025. There will be a 49-day summer vacation from April 24 to June 11, 2025.

During the academic year, there will be 13 days of Dasara festive holidays from October 13 to 25, Christmas holidays from December 23 to 27, and Sankranti holidays from January 12 to 17. The tenth class syllabus is set to be completed by January 10, 2025, followed by revision classes. For students in classes I to IX, the syllabus should be completed by February 28, 2025.

Government schools will have five-minute yoga and meditation classes for students every day. The tenth class board exams are scheduled for March 2025.
