Dr Peruka Raju from Rajanna Sircilla District, Telangana, was honored with the ‘Nandi & Swarna Kankanam’ award at Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University. The ceremony took place at the university’s NTR Auditorium and was attended by Supreme Court Judge Madhusudan, entrepreneur Rajashekar Reddy, university professors, and other dignitaries.
Dr Raju, a junior commissioned officer in the Indian Army stationed in Punjab, received the award for his contributions to literature. He is a poet, writer, and translator who has written thirteen literary works, composed thousands of poems, and produced numerous creative writings. He has also translated works from different languages.
In a touching gesture, Dr Raju dedicated the award to the brave Jawans, showing his commitment to his nation and literature.
