Tollywood actress Sowmya Janu officially opened the 5-day Hand to Hand Handloom Expo at Kalinga Cultural Hall on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills. The event is being organized by Jagdishwar Hastkala.

The main goal of the expo is to support weavers by giving them a platform to connect directly with consumers. This helps to promote the handloom industry and allows weavers to showcase their work.

According to the event organizer, Jayesh Kumar, the exhibition aims to create a market for weavers, even in places where such events are not common. The focus is on bringing pure silk and cotton products straight from the weavers to the customers, cutting out the middlemen.
