Hyderabad: N. Ramchander Rao, the new president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for Telangana, recently visited the national capital for the first time in his official capacity. During his two-day trip, he aimed to bolster the BJP’s presence in Telangana and promote central government schemes across the state.
His first meeting was with BJP National President JP Nadda. Following this, Rao held strategic talks with senior party leaders such as National General Secretary (Organizational) Santosh, National Joint General Secretary (Organizational) Sivaprakash, State Incharge Sunil Bansal, and National Secretary Arvind Menon.
Their discussions focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots network, energizing party members, and spreading awareness about development programs led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Central leaders suggested ways to increase the party’s influence and effectiveness in Telangana, especially with elections approaching.
Rao also met with several Union Ministers to discuss specific issues affecting the state. Among those he spoke with were Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy, and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Key topics included the rollout of central schemes, infrastructure improvements, and economic growth in Telangana. Union leaders showed strong support for Rao and expressed a willingness to collaborate closely in the future.
The central leadership encouraged the Telangana BJP to highlight governance issues under the current Congress administration and focus on rallying public support around specific issues. Rao returned to Hyderabad with clear goals and renewed energy to drive the BJP’s mission in Telangana.
This visit marked a significant step in strengthening the BJP’s organizational framework and aligning the state strategy with the national agenda.
