Telangana BJP chief and Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, G Kishan Reddy, has called on party members to prepare for a showdown with the ruling BRS government. The party plans to hold a Maha Dharna in the state capital on September 4 to intensify their protest against the government’s failure to provide double-bedroom houses for the poor.

During a speech at the Mahadharana event on Saturday, Reddy criticized the ruling dispensation for their ineffective governance and accused them of aligning with those who support the ideology of the Razakars. He urged party members to stand up for the people’s causes and teach the BRS-led government a lesson.

Reddy also highlighted the chief minister’s lack of concern for the flood-affected families and farmers who have suffered losses. He criticized the BRS party for repeatedly promising double-bedroom houses but failing to deliver on their promises.

As part of their ongoing protest, party leaders will be visiting colonies, slums, and neighborhoods to understand the issues faced by the people and collect their applications. Street corner meetings will also be organized, and protests will take place at various district offices.

To make a strong statement, the party plans to hold a Viswarupa Dharana in Hyderabad on September 4, demanding that the state government fulfill its promise of double-bedroom houses or step down. Reddy encouraged people to question their MLAs and BRS leaders about the unfulfilled promises, assuring them that only a BJP-led government would be capable of delivering on their housing needs.
