The rain started on Friday evening and intensified on Saturday, affecting areas like Rajendranagar, Saroornagar, Uppal, and Gachibowli.
The downpour caused difficulties for commuters and students as they were stranded due to the heavy rain. The sudden change in weather brought relief from the scorching heat, with temperatures reaching 44 degrees Celsius in some places on Friday. The IMD had issued a heat wave alert, prompting the health department to issue guidelines for heat wave protection.
