The Supreme Court in New Delhi has postponed the hearing of the anticipatory bail in the Fibernet scam case to November 9. Naidu’s counsel stated that there were three FIRs against him and judgment was reserved in one of them. The Bench decided to wait for the judgment in that case before proceeding.

The counsel for the Andhra Pradesh Government mentioned that since Naidu was already in jail, there was no need for his arrest. The Judge agreed and stated that the judicial custody would continue. The hearing was then rescheduled to November 9. The Bench also instructed the APCID not to arrest Naidu in the Fibernet case until the bail case is heard in the Supreme Court.

Naidu had appealed to the Supreme Court after his anticipatory bail was dismissed by the AP High Court on September 9.

In the meantime, the ACB Court in Vijayawada has denied Naidu’s request for three legal ‘Mulaqats’ per day. Naidu had filed a petition after the AP Government reduced the number of legal ‘Mulaqats’ from two to one.
