Hyderabad: The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) accused the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) of fraudulent activities. They claim all HCA Apex Council members are involved.
Dharam Guruva Reddy, TCA’s general secretary, stated that the HCA reused the 2022-23 financial audit for 2023-24, lacking any updates or accountability. He pointed out discrepancies in the reported funds for summer camps. According to the HCA, they allocated Rs 15 lakh per district twice in 2024 and 2025. However, HCA records show Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh were sent instead. Reddy questioned which figures were accurate.
Reddy urged authorities to verify the HCA’s 2023-24 audit report. He mentioned it was supposed to be for the June 29 Annual General Meeting (AGM) but contained last year’s data. Surprisingly, AGM participants approved it without objections.
Recently, the HCA suspended its president A Jagan Mohan Rao, secretary R Devraj, and treasurer CJ Srinivasa Rao at an Apex Council meeting. This decision is significant as it followed internal investigations, addressing criminal charges against these officials in a government-led CID case.
