In Telangana, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka shared the government’s plans to boost women’s financial stability at an event held at Praja Bhavan. This announcement came during the Indira Mahila Shakti Sambarala program. He highlighted the government’s pledge to support women’s groups and encouraged them to thrive as business leaders.
At this gathering, cheques totaling ₹1.49 crores were given to women’s groups supplying rental buses to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC). Vikramarka expressed a vision to create one crore women millionaires by distributing ₹1 lakh crore in loans over five years.
Starting from the 8th, discussions on government programs for women are set to occur in all mandals. Women’s federation meetings will be organized at village and mandal levels, with assembly constituency meetings planned from the 10th to the 16th. Vikramarka assured that interest-free loans would be provided via cheques, enhancing public awareness of the financial support available.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced an initiative to supply 5,000 electric autos to women, aiming to reduce pollution in Hyderabad. These government efforts are part of ongoing actions to empower women and elevate their socio-economic conditions in the area.
