Hyderabad – Students taking the TG EAPCET exam on Tuesday had a smoother experience this year, thanks to a new feature on their hall tickets — a QR code that helped them find their test centers easily and on time.
For the first time, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) added QR codes to the admit cards. When scanned, these codes directed students to their exam center using GPS navigation. This innovation made a big difference, especially for students coming from other cities.
Ramesh Reddy, a parent from Warangal, shared his experience. “My son’s exam center was in LB Nagar. We were worried about reaching late because there’s a strict rule — even one minute late means you miss the exam. But the QR code on the hall ticket helped us reach without any trouble.”
Students also appreciated the feature. Many said it saved time and reduced stress before the exam.
“It was my first competitive and computer-based exam, so I was nervous,” said Suresh, one of the test takers. “But the exam was easier than I expected, and the QR code helped me find the center with no issues.”
Another student, Anil, said, “All the questions were from our intermediate syllabus. Everything I studied came in handy. I’m confident I’ll score well.”
Officials from JNTUH confirmed that this is the first year they’ve used QR codes on admit cards. They received positive feedback from both students and parents.
“It’s simple to use,” said one official. “Just scan the code, and a map with directions to the exam center opens up. It reduces confusion and helps students reach on time.”
This small change made a big impact, helping thousands of students focus more on their exam and less on travel worries.
