Hyderabad saw an important step for better business education when Professor V. Balakista Reddy, head of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), started a two-day national workshop. Named “Building Excellence in B-Schools: Academic Leaders’ Strategies for Institutional Development,” the event was organized by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) at their new Secretariat in Hyderabad.
Over 50 deans and directors from top Indian B-Schools attended. Professor Reddy highlighted the crucial role of developing human resources to prepare young Indians for new technologies and the global market’s demands. He stressed that clear policies on tariffs and regulations are necessary for the growth of both business and educational sectors.
The workshop featured interactive sessions with experts from academia and industry. These sessions focused on modern strategies for developing institutions, encouraging innovation, and integrating technology. Participants exchanged best practices to improve teaching, research, administration, and leadership in Indian business schools.
On August 2, the event will have panel discussions and collaborative planning sessions. These activities aim to build lasting academic and industry connections throughout the country.
