Hyderabad: The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) organized a special session on Wednesday for school students to discuss the harmful effects of pollution.

The main goal of the event was to raise awareness among young students about the importance of protecting the environment. TGPCB officials emphasized the need for environmental responsibility and sustainable living. During the session, students were shown different levels of air pollution in various areas like sensitive, residential, commercial, and industrial zones. This was demonstrated using filter papers that displayed the pollution levels. They also learned about noise pollution through noise-measuring devices.

The students were introduced to various types of pollution, including air, water, and noise pollution, through activities and demonstrations. The interactive format of the session encouraged students to ask questions, share their ideas, and discuss ways to make their homes, schools, and communities cleaner and greener. A senior officer from the TGPCB said that the session allowed students to actively participate and think about how they could help the environment.
