A recent incident brought this issue to light when a camp claiming to be from the “Kakatiya Health Care Centre” was set up at the CKM College Grounds in Desaipet, Warangal. According to Dr. V. Naresh Kumar, the chairman of the council’s public relations committee, this camp was operating without government approval. He stated that unsuspecting people were being deceived by the organization.

The investigation revealed that the camp was run by Mukka Arun Kumar from Jangaon district, who had studied as a lab technician. Kumar was conducting blood tests at very low prices without proper authorization. When officials investigated further, they found that the address provided by him was fake, and the camp lacked the necessary testing equipment and permits from the district medical officer. The administrator was unable to explain how lab reports were being issued without proper facilities.

Officials also noticed that the name of a pathologist, Dr. Sunkari Naresh Babu, was printed on the camp’s medical reports. However, when contacted, Dr. Babu denied any connection to the healthcare centre or its administrator. Upon further examination, it was discovered that all the lab reports issued by the camp were fake. When questioned, Kumar claimed to have an agreement with Manipal Laboratories in Hyderabad. However, when asked to provide proof of the agreement, he admitted that no such agreement existed.

Dr. V. Naresh Kumar confirmed that a complaint has been filed against Mukka Arun Kumar with the district medical authorities. Additionally, the council will be serving notices to Dr. Naresh Babu and another individual, Dr. Pratima, regarding the matter.

The council has urged the public to be vigilant and verify the legitimacy of labs and testing services before availing of their services.
