In Rangareddy, 64 candidates are running for the Lok Sabha election in the Chevella segment. Some key players include Vishweshwar Reddy of BJP, Dr. Ranjith Reddy of Congress, and Kasani Gyaneshwar of BRS. BRS party has a vote share of 40.7 percent and is supporting Kasani Gyaneshwar as their candidate after the defection of Ranjith Reddy to Congress.

Ranjith Reddy, a businessman with a masters’ degree in Veterinary Science, entered politics in 2019 and was elected as a member of Parliament from Chevella. He is now seeking re-election on a Congress ticket after leaving BRS due to poor performance in recent elections. Vishweshwar Reddy, a former MP, is running for BJP after losing to Ranjith Reddy in 2019.
