Hyderabad – Two young girls from Oxford Grammar School (OGS) have shown extraordinary strength and focus by excelling in their CBSE Board exams, despite facing heartbreaking personal tragedies.
Nivruti Sanjeev Bahety lost her father just before the exams. The loss was sudden and deeply painful, but she stayed strong. Determined to honor her father’s memory, she concentrated on her studies and performed exceptionally well. Nivruti, known for her academic talent and creativity, is now studying humanities and arts.
Jakkula Rushika faced a similar tragedy. Her father passed away from liver failure during the exam period. Alongside her grief, she had to care for her family, support her mother, and look after her younger siblings. Despite the heavy responsibilities, Rushika stayed focused on her goals. A passionate Kuchipudi dancer and student of martial arts, she is currently pursuing the science stream.
According to Dean G Ramanjula, both girls have been bright, humble, and dedicated since their early school years. He praised their spirit and said they remained strong even while dealing with emotional pain and medical challenges. “They have performed brilliantly and are aiming for engineering careers,” he added. The school’s teachers continue to support them emotionally and academically.
Moved by their stories, OGS Director Prarthana Manikonda stepped in to offer financial help. The school organized a special event to honor the girls. Teachers, classmates, and many well-wishers gathered to celebrate their courage and success.
Chairman Dr Veda Kumar confirmed that the school will continue to support the girls. He said OGS is committed to guiding them through their future, both academically and emotionally.
These two students are not just exam toppers—they are examples of how strength, resilience, and determination can overcome even the hardest of times.
