    NagarKurnool: Dr. K. Ravikumar Naik, the District Immunization Officer, encouraged everyone eligible to take advantage of the free vaccination program provided by the government. This program, specifically for pregnant women, newborns, and children, is available at all primary health centers and sub-health centers every Wednesday and Saturday.

    On Saturday, Dr. Naik made an unplanned visit to the Manganur and Gangaram health sub-centers in Bijnapally Mandal. During his visit, he stressed the importance of ensuring that every newborn receives full vaccination to prevent diseases.

    In addition, Dr. Naik inspected the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan program at the Lattupalli Primary Health Center. This program includes health screenings and guidance for pregnant women. He urged all pregnant women to choose government hospitals for delivery and highlighted the significance of proper nutrition during and after pregnancy.

    Dr. Naik also advised ASHA workers to make sure pregnant women attend health check-ups at primary health centers and government hospitals. He further instructed them to visit mothers at home after delivery on scheduled dates to monitor their health.

    Medical officers Dr. B. Alochana, Dr. Tejaswini, health extension officer Badam Rajeshwar, and other health workers also took part in the event.
