Hyderabad – In a major step toward advancing sports education in India, Woxsen University welcomed former Indian cricketer and ex-BCCI chief selector MSK Prasad to its campus. His visit marked the beginning of a new partnership aimed at nurturing athletic talent and enhancing sports training.

During his time at the university, Prasad toured the facilities of the Woxsen Sports Academy. He then signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Woxsen University, his own International Cricket Academy, and SixS Sports. This collaboration will focus on building a stronger foundation for aspiring athletes by combining physical training with modern mental coaching techniques.

At the center of this initiative is the Brain Training Lab, a cutting-edge facility that blends neuroscience with athletic development. The lab is designed to sharpen athletes’ focus, boost their reaction times, and improve decision-making under pressure. This approach targets the mental side of sports, which is often overlooked but critical for high-level performance.

Pullela Gopichand, former All England Badminton Champion and founder of the Gopichand Academy, praised the effort. He said, “Congratulations to Anthony, and to Woxsen and Raul for understanding the true value of sports. Not everyone gets it. Many young athletes don’t succeed, and they need a backup plan. It’s not just about passing exams or winning medals—it’s about preparing for life. This program brings crucial mentorship that can guide athletes at every stage.”

Gopichand added that this initiative could fill a big gap in India’s sports ecosystem. “With the right support, even those who don’t make it to the top in sports can still build meaningful careers in the field. That’s what makes this collaboration so important,” he said.

With this new alliance, Woxsen University and its partners aim to reshape how sports education is delivered in India. By combining science, mentorship, and professional training, they hope to create a new generation of athletes ready for both victory and life beyond the game.
