Gadwal: In July 2025, police in Jogulamba Gadwal district worked hard to fight child labor. They joined forces with several government departments and freed 75 child workers during Operation Muskaan-XI. District Superintendent of Police T. Srinivasa Rao shared the operation’s success.
Out of the rescued children, 66 were boys and 9 were girls. Authorities filed 18 cases against people who illegally hired these children.
The operation’s goal was to find and help children working in illegal conditions. The police teamed up with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Labour Department, Education Department, District Child Protection Unit, and NGOs. Together, they inspected the district thoroughly from July 1 to July 31, 2025.
SP Srinivasa Rao reported that 8 children went back to school, resuming their education. The rest were safely returned to their families after getting support from the Child Welfare Committee.
He highlighted the importance of protecting children’s rights and urged everyone to report child labor or missing children. People can call Dial 100, Childline 1098, or visit local police stations to report.
“We will continue to take action against those hiring child workers. Public support is crucial to end child labor,” said the SP.
This operation shows the district’s strong dedication to building a safer and more child-friendly environment.
