The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) uncovered assets worth a staggering ₹3.2 crores allegedly linked to Markala Rajani, the Tahsildar and Joint Sub-registrar of Jammikunta Mandal in Karimnagar. Rajani now faces charges of amassing wealth through illicit means, marking a major crackdown on corruption in the region.

The ACB’s operation, conducted on Wednesday, targeted Rajani’s residence along with five other properties belonging to her relatives, associates, and suspected benami holdings. The meticulously planned raids yielded a treasure trove of incriminating evidence, shedding light on the extent of Rajani’s alleged malfeasance.

Authorities suspect that the actual market value of the seized assets could far exceed the official estimates, raising concerns over the scale of Rajani’s alleged illicit activities. The ACB has pegged the total value of Rajani’s amassed wealth at approximately ₹3,20,16,915.
