Hyderabad – The All India Dental Students Association (AIDSA) has asked the Telangana State Dental Council (TGDC) to help dentists move their registrations from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana. They also requested the council to collect pending funds from Andhra Pradesh.
On Friday, AIDSA leaders met with the TGDC registrar and handed over a formal letter listing their concerns.
According to Dr. Manzoor Ahmed, president of AIDSA, many dentists practicing in Telangana originally registered with the Andhra Pradesh State Dental Council before the two states split. Now, these dentists are struggling to shift their registration to Telangana due to slow and complicated procedures.
Dr. Manzoor urged the council to start a Single-Window System and set clear deadlines for completing the registration transfers. He said this would simplify the process and reduce stress for the affected dentists.
“We need a faster, smoother process,” he said. “These doctors have waited long enough.”
AIDSA also encouraged all dentists facing similar issues to come forward and join their efforts. They want more practitioners to speak directly to the council and share their experiences.
The group hopes the Telangana government will act soon to fix the registration issues and recover the funds owed from Andhra Pradesh.
