Hyderabad – Popular Tollywood producer Allu Aravind visited Sri Tej, a young boy recovering from serious injuries, at a neuro rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad on Monday. Sri Tej was badly hurt during a stampede at Sandhya Theatre in December 2024.

The tragic incident happened during the premiere of the movie ‘Pushpa 2’, which stars Allu Arjun. A huge crowd had gathered at the Sandhya Theatre at RTC X Roads, leading to chaos. Sri Tej’s mother, Revathi, sadly lost her life due to suffocation, while Sri Tej suffered critical injuries.

After the visit, Allu Aravind spoke with doctors to check on Sri Tej’s recovery. He expressed hope and relief, saying, “It’s encouraging to see Sri Tej getting better day by day. Our whole family is praying for his full recovery.”

Earlier, Aravind and the ‘Pushpa 2’ film team donated ₹2 crore to support Sri Tej’s medical treatment.

Sri Tej was discharged from KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad on April 29, after nearly five months of medical care. Doctors confirmed that he no longer needs breathing support and has started taking food orally. However, he is still on a liquid diet through a feeding tube. His brain function hasn’t fully returned, and he cannot yet recognize his family.

Two weeks ago, doctors moved him out of the ICU and into the rehabilitation centre. There, he is undergoing both neurological and physical therapy. Medical experts say he needs at least 15 more days of rehab before he can go home.

The incident has drawn attention to crowd safety at public events, especially film premieres. As Sri Tej continues his slow but steady recovery, many in the film industry and the community are standing by him and his family.
