Balancing sports and studies leads to a healthier future

Hyderabad hosted the successful 39th Olympic Day Run 2025 on Monday. The event began at Osmania University and ended at LB Stadium. Hundreds of students and sports fans joined in to celebrate the Olympic spirit, emphasizing fitness, determination, and unity.

Prof V Balakista Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), was the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of balancing sports with academics. He encouraged students to engage in physical activities for a healthier future. Prof Reddy shared his dream of seeing students from Telangana win Olympic medals and noted the government’s dedication to building a strong sports environment in the state.

The event was led by Dr J Babulal, the Olympic Development Convener. Over the past five years, his commitment has helped nurture talented athletes from Osmania University. His passion motivates young athletes to aim high and achieve their best.
