Hyderabad – Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticized the current political situation in Telangana, saying the state has shifted from being a land of pride and activism to one filled with political theatrics.
He targeted BRS MLC K Kavitha, calling her recent letter to her father, former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), part of a scripted drama. Referring to her involvement in the Delhi liquor scam, Bandi sarcastically said the letter could have been a hit if it debuted on an OTT platform under the title “The Arrow Dropped by Congress.”
Bandi accused both the Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of blaming the BJP while ignoring their own failures. He stressed that the BJP stands strongly against dynastic politics, whether from the Gandhi family or the Kalvakuntla family. According to him, these family-run parties stir fear among the people to cover up their own weaknesses.
He made it clear that anyone involved in corruption or illegal activities will face the law. “There will be no protection for wrongdoers,” he said firmly.
Bandi claimed that people in Telangana are now tired of family-based politics. “Voters want change. They want real development, clean governance, and leadership that reflects their ambitions,” he said. He emphasized that many surveys show growing support for the BJP, symbolized by the lotus flower, as people look to break away from the control of political families.
Meanwhile, BJP MP DK Aruna also commented on Kavitha's letter. She questioned why Kavitha chose to write to her father instead of speaking to him directly. “Is she avoiding a conversation because of tension with her brother, K T Rama Rao (KTR)?” Aruna asked. She also raised doubts about who wrote the letter and how it was leaked to the public.
The BJP leaders’ remarks highlight a growing political battle in Telangana, with the party pushing hard to end the dominance of family-led political groups and win public support for a new direction.
