    Hyderabad:

Kandala Upender Reddy, a leader from the BRS party, spoke in support of Srujan Reddy, who is the brother-in-law of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. On Tuesday, Upender Reddy stated that there was nothing suspicious about the AMRUT contract, suggesting that party leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) had been misinformed about the situation.

During a press conference at his home, former MLA Upender Reddy clarified that Srujan Reddy had no political involvement. He explained that Srujan was the Managing Director (MD) of Deepika Infra until 2016, after which a separate company was formed. Upender Reddy emphasized that it is common for people to engage in business partnerships and that no mistakes were made in their business dealings. He also mentioned that Srujan is not directly related to Revanth Reddy, and the Chief Minister has no involvement in the tender process.

Upender Reddy expressed his desire to discuss the matter with KTR, but he believes that KTR may have been given incorrect information. He assured that the party would have its own approach regarding the AMRUT tenders.

Additionally, Upender Reddy noted that Manohar Reddy, Revanth Reddy’s father-in-law, started the company in 2014. He reiterated that their company is fully eligible to participate in the AMRUT tender process, which is conducted online. He dismissed KTR’s allegations as false and pointed out that their family has been involved in business for over 40 years, not politics.
